What makes a place feel like home?
True North explores this question through the eyes of Amberley Robinson, a singer-songwriter who grew up in South East Queensland but now calls Townsville home. This original performance explores the people, places and experiences that shape life in North Queensland through collaborative songs inspired by the landscapes, communities and everyday moments of Gurambilbarra/ Townsville.
Drawing on personal experiences and conversations with local members of the arts community, True North captures stories of belonging and resilience, relishing in the joy of shared experiences. Each song offers a different perspective on the region, from quiet moments of reflection to celebrations of community and place.
