The Townsville Art Society Inc. is proud to present the 71st Townsville Art Society Art Awards, continuing a long-standing tradition of excellence in the visual arts. Since its founding, the Townsville Art Society has delivered annual or biennial exhibitions, establishing the Art Awards as a significant fixture in Townsville’s cultural calendar. The Art Awards exhibition provides an important platform for the presentation and recognition of artistic practice in North Queensland.
The exhibition will be held at the Perc Tucker Regional Gallery, offering artists the opportunity to exhibit in a major public gallery setting. The Art Awards are open to North Queensland artists affiliated with an Art Society, supporting artistic networks and professional development across the region. Participating artists will have the opportunity to showcase their work publicly while competing for a range of prizes, recognising skill, creativity and achievement.
