October
~ a fertile spot in a desert, where water is found. ~
You are free to be exactly who you are, without earthly tethers, a gift. This is your permission-slip to Truth. Unleashed for the world to love. Un-hold. Grip softens until drop, falling into the abyss, together. Caught by the pillow of a cloud.
NIMBUS is back for its fourth annual instalment, enveloping Heydays Cafe with colour and noise, taking the venue from cafe to bizarre-art-house-party. With the usual dose of calm into chaos, this year’s program boasts 10 hours of left-field music, immersive art installations, and obscure performance art.
Leave reality for a little while, and join us in the oasis. Landing on the final weekend of the festival, NIMBUS marks the after party for our beloved NAFA season.

We are working hard to maintain social spaces that feel safer for everyone. Help us do that and leave your d*ck-head friend at home (perhaps chat to that friend about why). We are all here for a good time. Look out for one another and hold yourself to the best standard of social conduct (A.K.A being kind).
Keep phone use to a minimum. Do not use your camera on others unless you have their consent. No one likes to feel watched.
Other people are your acquaintances; try to connect with at least one person you haven't met yet.
There are three toilets at NIMBUS. Two on the lower level; a porta-loo outside, and a cubicle behind the roasting room bar. One on the upper level; a cubicle in the cafe past the kitchen. There are no accessible toilets in the venue.
The event will have varied genres of music at loud volumes across the duration of the event. There is varied seating (chairs and stools) scattered in the laneway and the cafe space, none in the roasting room. Some spots in the outdoor area are quieter than others.
Lighting will be multi-coloured with a decent amount of motion. The outdoor space will have minimal movement and no strobe effects. The roasting room could have some strobing, kept to a minimum.
