Woven Together: Undivided We Rise is a powerful exhibition celebrating the resilience, healing, and cultural strength of First Nations communities through the art of weaving.
Featuring works by Kim Ah Sam, Jayme-Lee Harley, Clare Jaque Vasquez, Jaeda Lenoy, Erica Muriata, Aunty Rosalind Sailor and Michona Warria, the exhibition honours ancestral knowledge and shared stories. Each fibre piece is a vessel of memory and renewal, echoing traditions of basket weaving.
Presented by Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts, this immersive experience invites reflection on community, connection, and the enduring power of cultural expression.
The exhibition is curated by Gangulu woman and emerging curator Sabrina-Rose Toby who has been working under the guidance of Peggy Kasab Lane, an established Saibai Koedal curator.

Woven Together: Undivided We Rise is commissioned by Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts in partnership with the North Australian Festival of Arts (NAFA). Umbrella and NAFA are thankful for the support of Vivien Anderson Gallery representing Clare Jaque Vasquez, Kim Ah Sam and Erica Muriata, and Girringun Aboriginal Art Centre also representing Erica Muriata.
