Australia’s premier First Nations comedy competition rolls into Townsville looking for the funniest Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander storytellers in the country. Stand-up, musical, sketch, physical, character-based, or just a genuinely great yarn, all you need is five minutes of material and the nerve to deliver it.
Open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 18 and over, every competitor gets a two-hour workshop with a seasoned professional comedian before hitting the stage. Win on the night and you could be headed to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival National Grand Final, with a $3,000 prize on the line.
